    I'm sure you have heard the Kanye West and Taylor Swift incident at the music awards.
    What I later read, was how president Obama made a "not so PC comment" about it.
    ABC News said some of its employees had overheard a conversation between the president and CNBC's John Harwood and didn't realize it was considered off the record.

    "I thought that was really inappropriate," Obama says. "What are you butting in (for)? ... The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person. She's getting her award. What's he doing up there?"
    A questioner chimes in, "Why would he do it?"
    "He's a jackass," Obama replies, which is met with laughter from several people.

    So my point is: I think all the "I can't believe he said that" to his candid comment is stupid. I think people tend to forget that our presidents are human, and make mistakes, or rather, cannot be perfect all of the time.
    Whether you voted for the current president or not, I do not care, but I thought it was a funny comment and felt it showed a down-to-earth side of him.

    Thoughts anyone?

    The president is correct, Kanye West is a jackass.

    The entire bit with Obama has been taken out of context by his detractors in an effort to make him look bad. To bad it is backfiring on these detractors. To me the worst part of this whole bit with the president is the brouhaha that the media is making over it.

    Slow news day, I guess. The only way this should have been a story is if Black Elvis wasn't a jackass. But he was, so there.

    What I'm amazed at is Kanye West has created a common thread between the views of Bush and Obama.

    The saddest part, of course is that he achieved exactly what he was shooting for. The old saying still holds true.

    Some say I live under a rock, but I didn't know who Kanye was until that episode of South Park. At any rate, this Kanye West guy does seem like a jackass. I felt bad for that good looking lady being interrupted as she got a little spaceman statue.

    I'm as passionate on politics all most as much as I am about MINI's. And while I'm certainly not a fan of the current administration, I do have to agree with Obama on the Kanye incident. But I don't think Obama needs to speak his opinion on one particular person. Much like the way he called the police stupid in Boston when they arrested his friend when he refused to identify himself. I have little respect for name callers, even if they live in the White House.

    Kanye was/is a jackass. It's below the Office of the President to comment on such matters (political affiliations aside).

    :lol::lol::lol:

    The office was not commenting. Mr. Obama was, after being asked a question on the topic during what "broadcast etiquette" dictates to be an off the record period.

    I am no fan of the current regime, but BS has to be called on this one.
