Hi! I'm looking for a room a the main event! Fontana resort! "The Lodge" one king size bed preferred but will consider 2 queen size beds if anyone cancels there $99 a night rooms...please let me know..

I found the Microtell in Robinsonville comfortable last year and there were a number of other MINI folks there as well.

BTW: Can I interest you in a cool Bowling Shirt from the M/A Store? Just four left, so you need to move on a couple now.

There is a Chevron, ethanol free, gas station, right out side of town, on 129, you pass on your way to Deals Gap and also a restaurant in town that has great batter fried Catfish.

Great news on the shirt. That will almost put us over the top to make the order.

The Lady at the Nantahala Village said that there is another car group during that same week!!! so it will be crowded and booked up!!

anyone, know what other car group? and how far the Nantahala Village is from the Fontana resort? I'm thinking about a cabin, but I don't want to be far from the action!!

Just got off the phone with the folks at Fontana Village. The only thing they have open right now are a 'few' 3-BR cabins. But at least, they do have 'some' availability.

yep, 3 bedroom at $259 a night!! I passed on this one...I'm still waiting for something smaller

 

I just booked The Barn House with Carpenter Cabins (link below) for $100 per night! And they are only 5-10 mins from the Tail of the Dragon. They also have a 2br/2 bath cottage house for $110 per night. . sleeps 4-5 people. Someone better call Judy (under contacts) today and snag it!

Don't worry. If it is like what I saw last year, people will be trying to sell their first child for a room about two weeks out. :cornut:
