Of those who replied, it looks like there's a total of 3 couples, 1 single male and myself.

If people don't mind using air-mattresses/cots/sleeping bags in the rooms, the breakdown would be $119.50 + applicable taxes (per person) for Wed-Sat, with Sunday checkout.

This would be the price regardless of whether you check-in on Wed or Thurs simply because the space would be reserved for you.

We're all adults, but for anyone who has never stayed in one of the Fontana cabins (and especially for those of you who have...) believe me when I say that the rooms are not sound-proof...and some of the cabins that are "duplex-style"...well, the ENTIRE structure has a tendency to, um, "wiggle". :blush2:

I can accept reservation payments via Paypal (including PP fees).

This cabin is not far from the "Stonehedge Firepit" and IS located in Fontana Village, so it's well within walking (or stumbling :beer) distance of all on-site festivities.

Will that price go down since there are a total of eight people? Just basing this off what you posted early on, see below. No big deal if not.

 

Those are "per night"...if we have 8 people sharing the cabin, it's strictly $119.50 per person for nights of Wed-Sat with Sun checkout.

239.00 per day x 4 nights = $956.00

956.00 / 8 = $119.50 per person for 4 nights (aka $29.88 per night per person)

Applicable tax is extra.

9 people = $106.25 + tax per person
10 people = $95.60 + tax per person

etc.

$956.00 is the magic number

 

Feel free to double-check my math; sometimes an extra pair of eyes is helpful. :crazy:

Hey all, I've got a cabin at Tapoco for the 29th to the 6th but would like to get into a Cabin in Fontana should one open up. If you have one and end up needing to cancel or you make other arrangements please let me know as I'll take it off your hands (and sweeten the pot if I can). PM me.

 

I'm looking for a place to stay (preferably in Fontana Village). It will be just me, so I could even take a couch if necessary. As long as there is a place for me to take a shower, brush my teeth and cleanup each morning then I am good.

I would entertain thoughts of staying in other locations but I am not interesting in taking over someones reservation.

I have some space available in my cabin... Last year I was 457, right behind the adventure centre (vendor alley)

It's a 3 bedroom unit, but can accomodate air mattresses just about anywhere...

I have an entire cabin I am letting go as I've decided to room with someone else rather than hunt down roomies this year.

The Cabin is near the fire pit and just up the road from Katies Cabin. It's a remodeled cabin, so very nice inside

It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin, I believe it is $239 a night. all I need is someone to reimburse me the deposit, we'll call up fontana and switch the names on the cabin. Let me know... thanks

5 people? Not that I mind, but I thought there was going to be more...

I'm getting excited...this is my first MOTD. Being in the Sin City Mini Club, I've attended and organized my share of AMIVIV events, but this will be the antithesis of AMVIV. AMIVIV is party central, MOTD is more like summer camp.

 

There's certainly room for more people, but some had other plans come up.

If we find other cabin-mates, the cost per person will go down accordingly.

So...if you know anyone who still needs a place to stay, let them know.

This is a last call for anyone interested in taking over my reservation at the Historic Tapoco Lodge in Robbinsville, NC.

I've had this reservation to two months and will not need it since we're staying in a cabin in Fontana. Even though I have until 24 hours prior to cancel my reservation, I'm not doing anyone justice by holding onto it. I've kept my reservation in case there's someone who still needs lodging and would like to take over the reservation. I'd rather not let it be out of sight, out of mind and not get a refund (I know myself... ) Therefore, I'm cancelling my reservation this Friday.
