If anyone is still needing somewhere to stay we have a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin available at Fontana. $219 per night, Tues-Sun am. PM me for details.

 

Final call before I release my reservation. If someone wants the cabin please contact me via PM and I will provide the necessary details. Reservation is currently April 30th - May 6th.

It is a 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin.

Sometime tomorrow afternoon I will be contacting Fontana and canceling the reservation.

 

Okay I just found out that I do have a reservation for camp spot 17 @ Fontana Dam. I was on a waiting list from Last October.... And somehow got lucky and now have a camping spot.

If there is anyone interested in sharing this camp spot, please PM me.
As I mentioned I know this spot is large. Unless they changed that I'm unaware of.

How far is that from all the action in Fontana?

My friend and I have two camp spots over in CHEOAH POINT CAMPGROUND. I think that is about 5 miles from Fontana.

 

Hey guys and gals,

The GA MINIACs have an extra bed at the house we have rented. Cost is $165 for lodging checking in Thursday and checking out Sunday morning plus help with food/drinks as needed.

You can see the place at www.bigskyii.com. It is roughly 1/2 hour from Fontana, but the drive there is on Hwy 28, which is a twisty run, too.

Fontana says it's about a half a mile away. I agree... Going towards the Dragon leaving Fontana village.... It's down the hill right before the bridge. Road to Dam. It's not far at all although I do love that it's set back away from the road so no extra car or bike noise.

 

Wow, that's awesome! So close but away from the bustle.

Is there enough room for two other tent campers? If so, what would our portion of the cost be?

Kind of surprised on ours, also... A bit of a drive, but it is one of the fun roads and the stay is cheap! ANYONE? Bueller?
