    Using the below image as an example...

    #1 is the Belt Line. It goes around the entire car where the glass meets the body. Many people will black it our or use a contrasting color in that area instead of the chrome.

    OHHHH !!!

    I saw a HB/B MINI like mine where this was orange and it looked awesome !!!

    so there are replacements for this....interesting....i think I need to do some research now !

    There are a few ways to do the beltline. Most people use tape such as this kit. Outmotoring Blackout Beltline Kit MINI Cooper

    Others have pulled the molding off and sent them out for paint.

    The tape kit is a heck of a lot less expensive and can be done in an hour or so.
