+1. It appears that they are learning that it isn't as easy as it looks to drive a 3500+ LB. car on 7-9" tires. Granted, I enjoy Grand-Am, GP, F1, and AMLS racing more than stock cars, but I also highly respect what they do and how they do it. Very talented drivers.

It is what it is no need for them to try to be something they are not. I just think it is funny how many people end up in NASCARs these days.

I agree Allen & find it interesting that washed out F1 drivers are headed to NASCAR. Maybe there are not enough seats in the DTM for all of them.

I just love hearing the former F1 drivers talk about the actual stock cars. They all complain about how terribly they handle and how uncomfortable they are.
My big issue with NASCAR is they are racing a tube chasis with a fiberglass body on top. They should be driving modified street cars or they should do away with teh silly stickers to make their blobs look like actual cars. Actually in a perfect world they would just drive modified outlaws.
-
Allen, the bodies are steel. The cars are designed to look like stock cars to retain the heritage and to sell new cars for the OEM's who support the series by pumping extreme amounts of money into the sport. The next time you are in the Charlotte area, take some time and tour one of the team facilities like Gibbs, Hendrick or Roush. I know how much you love cars, touring the facilities are a great experience.

Really?
But here we are speaking of him (God)...... -
I just thought it was un professional IMO is just like someone changing the National Anthem..(making fun of it) or stumping on the American Flag, he took a moment of prayer for the safety of the drivers and copied from Talladega Nights and made the prayer into a BIG JOKE. again just my 2 cents

I love my wife, she is my best friend in all the world. If you'd ask her I'm sure you'd hear the same from her about me.
Oh God let this thread die.....
Back on topic....
Allen I agree, I dislike silhouette cars. Production based for me. F1 & Indy excluded. -

I love the fact he made a joke. Jokes are good, we need more of them. Laughter is the best medicine after all.
