Does anyone have a count of how many GP2's were at the Dragon? It appeared to me that there were quite a few....
Well there were at least 8 cause they were at the shoot and I know Way had his there so that is 9 not sure after that
Would have like to have been there, but was too busy working. So there are 2 not pictured as the Craven guys drove my R53 GP up from Atlanta, and my R56 GP was in the vendor parking lot.
There was a guy named henry that was driving a GEN 1 GP that was taking pics, he got nominated as "official photographer" on site! Maybe next year we can do it closer to Fontana that would give Way a chance to send his cars to be in the photo also.
Sorry if this has been covered, but I heard two GPs needed special tire deliveries. Just wondered if they were on here and if so what the story behind that was.
I heard about one of them right from the source, Jim McDowell, who took care of the issue for the GPII owner. The driver ran over something in the road that was not was really fixable by the mobility kit on board. As I understand it, a wheel/tire was borrowed from Hendricks while a call went out for a replacement tire. Again Hendrick came through here with one in stock. It was brought up to Fontana where none other than Jim McDowell (MINI US Boss) took the persons wheel and new tire into town and had it mounted and balanced. He was seen walking across vendor row carrying said wheel/tire as well.
Took the CM in for a oil change today and there was GP2 #734, sitting there. I really liked it and thought 39K was not a bad price at all. Jim
Actually, I was justa looking, but if I were in the market for a new MINI right now, I honestly would have considered it. Can't put my finger on exactly why, but I liked it. Jim
Sorry I didn't make the photo shoot. I had to to head home on Saturday morning to attend a funeral. Looks like a nice turnout. Thanks to the gen 2 GP2 owner that gave me his extra blackout kit for my gen 1! (Sorry I don't remember your name.)
I noticed Bob, GP0061, has his on both sides. Glad I wasn't that close for anyone to notice. I thought something was wrong with my key fob.
