ABS does not bond well to metal and is more difficult to find places that can repair it if it becomes damaged.(must be plastic welded) Fiberglass bonds well to most everything is easily repairable even in most "Driveways". I believe in a production level for retail ABS is much cheaper to reproduce your end products?
I would happily pay more for fiberglass just because of the repairable and bonding aspect of it. -
i agree with your first point Nitrominis. but actually ABS molding cost way more than Fiberglass molding. material-wise they cost around the same. ABS is a slightly newer technology. I guess fiberglass will be it
you are right, it is easier to repair a fiberglass when it is damaged. but don't worry i will make sure the quality is good!!!

It is really difficult to get too excited without any pics, drawings, sketches, renderings, etc. No images at all........ Hell, just show pics of the actual GP wing and point out where your will be different.
-
Hmm, maybe I read incorrectly. I thought it was mentioned that the wing connection points were going to be significantly different from OEM and this wing would be 1st Gen and 2nd Gen compatible.

jimini! i will ensure the thickness is there! be patient for now, the prototype and the rest of 19 copies should be out around May!
mini_racer: i know it's going to be R53 compatible for sure, but not so sure about R56. cuz i have a r53 myself. and since this is not a mass production, i will focus on r53 more. -
Not to step on any toes but "Group 4" & "JSart" will be unveiling a new GP style wing along with other aero aids at the Dragon the end of April

Ya know this OP has something going here. Do we really need another company to come in here and take a dump on his potential plans?
I think not. Take it to a new thread guys.
Thanks -
that is cool!
im hoping to see them. well i dont really mind to see the product from the other company because im not going to compete with anyone in the market. im only gonna make 20, and it's all at my own factory cost so it won't hurt me. plus i really want one for my car as well

Nathan you're right. I apologize, did not mean to hijack this thread. :eek6: I'll start another with pictures in the near future.
