I'm impressed. Look's like a quality wing from the pic's. You said you were going to do this and you did. You even beat your planned intro date. They should go like hot cakes to the lucky 19. :cornut:
-
Thanks a lot metalman! It is a quality one! i was pretty happy when i received it last week. I'm always on my word!
let me know if you want a slice of cake as well ^^

Nice looking piece, you did a great job. Have you gotten any feel for added stability or down-force yet ?
Mark -
down force I can feel a lil bit but not too noticeable
to be honest, i don't really consider much about that haha, i think all these spoilers are mainly for look. and as long as they are stable and firm, they are goodif you want huge down force, M7 c wing will be it!
-
But can we get a few more shots on how you are attaching it? Where are you located? LA right? It might be worth it for me to come take a look once you get the for sale wings made :cornut: What are the pink numbers representing? Also, is that a cooper wing that you added there?
-
Everyone keeps asking me to take a picture of the attachment. Some people even ask me to upload the blueprint of the design......... I really don't want to do so since there are 10+ people out there making the same spoiler.
i hope you understand that.
the numbers are just showing which part is what. for example, 1: original spoiler deletion. 2: right side, 3: Carbon fiber middle piece, 4: left side of the spoiler.
that's itdon't worry about the numbers lol
I guarantee that if you have a R53, this wing is mountable -
Understand, but how it attaches is very important when considering buying one. Are there holes to drill, attached by screws and nuts or double sided tape and adhesives. Is the spoiler piece that number one points to, included?
Not trying to be a pain but would need to know these things before dropping that much coin... -

.....and can it be used with the regular S rear wing?
-
minimark: I just sold one of the 2 prototypes out! hopefully that girl is a member of this site and post some photos of the mounting. The number one piece is not included says on the ad it's 150 extra. I understand that but that was the prototype, so i don't want to just show everyone how it is made and stuff, i bet you know there are 10+ people talking about making it. i don't want them to know before my other 19 spoilers arrive in 4 to 8 weeks.
ScottinBend: I tried but they can't be on your car at the same time. The middle piece is going to touch the regular S wing. That is why i make the deletion thing just to replace the regular S wing and cover up the ugly two holes drilled on the roofplease feel free to ask more questions! I will register to be a vender here in motoringalliance when my other spoilers arrive!

Ok, I understand needing paying vendors and stuff, but at which point does someone need to become a vendor? t955152 is making a few wings and selling them, but is he a vendor? I don't think so. Now if it turns out that he starts making more of them, then maybe, yes, he should become a vendor. I say all this because over on the sewing site this has become an issue and it seems that the whole thread has been deleted? I mean these forums started as Mini enthusists and help forums, but at least one.....has turned into a strictly money making operation
This is really killing the "backyard" parts manufactures, which are only making stuff to "help" people. Am I wrong here?
-
Well since you asked...
It's really a very fine line. We all want to see new products and development. To stifle development by not allowing those with ideas to post I think is a bad idea, hence this thread was never even called into question by me. In fact I saw the troubles the OP had elsewhere and invited him to M/A.
Now the OP has a limited edition product under way and has offered to become a site sponsor when they are ready to be sold. I'd be a fool to turn away the business. I know it will be limited to one or two months. Hopefully the OP will decide to make more and possible other bits as well and become a long term sponsor.
M/A wants to foster the growth of "backyard" parts manufactures and has yet to turn down or remove posts from anyone seeking to determine the need or marketability of "homegrown" MINI products.
Motoring Alliance, LLC is a for profit entity, I've never tried to obfuscate this. However, there is no reason to try and wring every possible dollar from the site at the expense of annoying members or stifling competition.
If we want to continue this discussion I would request that new thread under the Site Feedback is created. -
Very interested. Would like to be on the List if there is room

updates?

Hi! As mentioned earlier, it's going to arrive within 4 to 5 weeks! the prototypes that you see on the R53 and R56 in the above picture were sold 3 weeks ago on the market place in North America Motoring.
The following 18 spoilers will probably be sold here once i become a vendor. Let me know what kind of updates you want. I'll throw as much info as possible.
if you havent been following the thread, the following 18 spoilers will look just like those two prototypes above.
have a nice day!
