Cross-posted from the Helix Motorsports Intercooler Datalogging Results thread.

So many round headlights in the Helix shop.

Whales makes a surprise appearance at Helix. This is becoming a tradition, it seems.

Let’s compare. Helix on the left, stock on the right… and something else in the middle.

And just for giggles, here’s what a stock intercooler looks like inside.

It wouldn’t be a visit to Helix without a cheesesteak. Thanks, Whales!

    Stock intercooler in place.

Impressions? The numbers certainly don't lie, but my finely-tuned butt dyno doesn't either. Usually, at least. It was a pretty steamy day in the Philadelphia area on Thursday - and I ran the car hard on the way home from the shop. Pull after pull, the car felt as strong as it did on the first as it did the last - no apparent signs of heatsoak could be felt, and the car definitely felt stronger in the upper RPM range. It was a nice change from the wave of hot weather we had a week or two ago - the GP heatsoaked quickly with such a small factory intercooler.

I like how you removed most of the "Performance" stickers as it gives the car a cleaner look.

Seeing the photos of these wheels on his car actually inspired my choice.

I had to hunt high and low to find photos of the 17x8s on any MINI - it wasn't easy.

    Thanks!

The Team Dynamics look great! I looked at those for the GTI but ended up going a different route.

Very tasteful and clean, good choices all around! :)

Nice pictures, did you use lights or just the available lighting in the area?

The finish on your wheels is gorgeous... Makes me think of re-doing my black set in a dark gray.
