    The GTI simply doesn't compare to the Mini. Been there, done that. Had a 2013. ;)

    Wait til you are out of warranty. That's when the real fun starts.

    I'm loving my GTI. Nicely optioned, standard interfaces ( I can replace the radio easily because it isn't built into the speedo). Steering wheel buttons work for radio and hands free calls. Stock performance is fantastic and I enjoy the dual clutch auto. Manual when I want, auto when I need it.

    Same could be said about the GTI, too. They also consume timing chains and water pumps, and suffer from carbon buildup. 6 ways one way, a half-dozen another, I say.

    My GTI didn't have steering wheel buttons, and neither does my GP, thankfully.
