Ahh, wise words from a blissfully happy new owner. Wait til you are out of warranty. That's when the real fun starts. I'm loving my GTI. Nicely optioned, standard interfaces ( I can replace the radio easily because it isn't built into the speedo). Steering wheel buttons work for radio and hands free calls. Stock performance is fantastic and I enjoy the dual clutch auto. Manual when I want, auto when I need it. Glad your loving your MINI.
Hmmm. Here's a unique option. http://autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=390497919&zip=43026&endYear=2006&pageLayout=list&sortBy=distanceASC&startYear=2006&searchRadius=0&offset=225&mmt=%5BMINI%5BCOOPER%5B%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D
Same could be said about the GTI, too. They also consume timing chains and water pumps, and suffer from carbon buildup. 6 ways one way, a half-dozen another, I say. My GTI didn't have steering wheel buttons, and neither does my GP, thankfully. Enjoy the flappy-paddle life, sir.
