Good idea Chuck, let us know what they tell you......if they do.

Yes, I sent them one as well, got the same reply and nothing since....adding to my frustration level.
Jim, I haven't used my Garmin unplugged, since it's hard mounted and always plugged in to keep it charged up. -
I've found Garmin support really wanting not to mention their product documentation

Well now see, that's the weird part......
When my buddy got his 1490T, according to the Garmin website we found that you could turn off coupons by turning off "traffic" - and it worked on his.
A few weeks later when I got mine, I also got the HD module at the same time, and in order to use it first you have to go to the Garmin site and download the software, which I did. After I did that, the option to turn off "traffic" wasn't there anymore!
I found "traffic" under another heading, but the standalone option wasn't there like it was on my buddy's - it's not on his anymore either, so our best guess is that when you add the HD software, it changes this feature somehow. -

This just in.......
I was sitting at a long light just after going thru a section where I got the traffic ahead warning - unfortunately there was no traffic there, just smooth sailing!
Decided to look around the menus again, and guess what?
Found "traffic" just like they say I should, turned it off and ....no more coupons!
Maybe it's because I didn't have the HD module plugged in?
We'll see what happens tomorrow when I plug the dongle back in again....Oh and I read that if you go to the Garmin site and download the latest firmware, you get even more coupons, on the startup menu for example! They're going coupon crazy with this thing. Am I the only one who thinks this is wrong?
When you have the gauges showing, you do not have maps, and vice versa - that is correct. -

Well.....
Here you go.
Seems like they responded pretty darn quick.
Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I will be happy to help you with this.
There are two ways to do this. The first is to disable the traffic feature on your Garmin. This will stop the ads from appearing, but it will also disable the traffic data on the device. The ads pay for the traffic subscription for the lifetime traffic. The other way is to purchase a lifetime traffic subscription. This will disable the ads and allow you to keep the traffic.
If you need further assistance please reply to this message and keep all past replies.

So it would seem, if I end up getting the 2360LMT (Lifetime Map and Traffic), then I should be able to stop "coupons". -
