Like Dave said, and I wrote earlier in the thread: if you are able to take out the negative camber to -2.0 by adding castor, you get the same excellent grip of -2.5 camber without the castor in turns, but with the less camber and added castor, you get improved acceleration and braking when the wheel is straight, it's a win-win. Tire wear will probably be better too.

OK, I'm in for a set. I'm sure I'll eventually have a suspension I can use them on. As long as I can find them. Maybe I'll put them in my bank safety deposit box or something.

    There's the real Dave! [emoji12]

He must have followed the governments lead, and subcontracted the above post in question... [emoji12]

Help Colin fund the development of these (by buying a set) so he can bring more products we want to the market... Doing this will also keep Dave.0 from having to subcontract his posts to other countries... [emoji12]

Been a few other places as well.
Any rate the machinist is going to be giving me a date when stuff will be turning.
I have been talking to him via Email. Sorry its a slow process but sometimes small batches are like that.

The machine shop had a lathe that was cutting my parts go down, So i was put behind.
Plates should be final cut on tuesday.
    Its been a journey.
But thats part of trying to get small runs of parts made for a reasonable price.

For turn-in, you should actually have a hair of toe-out dialed in.

Yeah, I probably don't need (and maybe don't want) the toe out up front anymore, with the OSG LSD, caster, meaty tires, etc. probably have plenty of things helping turn-in without it. And I could use "less squirrelly" and "more stable"...

^^^ Been there, done that! My tow bill (for two tow trucks) was 200 bucks.... one to winch my car back up on to the road and the other to anchor it so it wouldn't hit and pivot on the tree I was six inches away from hitting. That was almost 40 years ago. My drop off, down through the trees, was 60 feet with Huntington Lake as my landing zone.

Happy you got away unscathed! :beer

As an after thought, this, is probably the stupidest thing I've ever done (in an automobile)... Not to mention the luckiest I've ever been! However, there's much more in the archives.

Wow nice job!! To be able to take some negative camber out and have the same handling is huge--braking and acceleration are improved, handling remains the same, this is a bigtime upgrade over what we have for stand alone camber plates now.
