I was referred here by a friend of mine who owns a 2010 R56. I've been lusting after a MINI since they were first introduced, back when I was a poor, starving college student - and now that my current cars are reaching their end-life 'costs as much to repair/maintain as a new car payment or will drive your blood pressure up worrying about it breaking at any moment' phase, my wife talked me into finally ordering a MINI. So I placed an order for a 2013 R57 Highgate Edition, which is still in the 'on order' phase. My MA emailed my production to me on the evening of Sept. 10th. What with the NFL dying a slow, painful and public death, I will probably find myself lurking on this forum more and more instead of my regular forum...and especially once I take delivery of my new commuter/weekend car.
Hey hey Sir. Glad to see you joined. I haven't been on the forums as much as I used to be. You will find this is a good resource and a decent group of folks.
Signed on the lines and picked up my MINI yesterday evening. First photo is the new car with the car it's replacing (as my daily driver - I still own both). It's awesome so far...can't wait until the engine is finally broken in so I can really scare myself!
Yeah that Caliber is going to be collecting dust now....You will find your self making excuses to go drive the NEW MINI.
My wife will be driving the Caliber while I detail it and otherwise get it ready to sell :cornut: Didn't see any reason to take half its value from a dealer, when I own it free and clear and have the luxury to wait a few months for a buyer. Plus, its A/C still works, unlike the wife's minivan...
Yeah man, real soon. Probably going to take the family on a drive this weekend, maybe out to Lake Travis.
