There is a contest to get the most badges on. I think Jason may be in the lead. :wink:

 

I just got my 05 R53 convertible, can someone clue me in to what is the importance of the badge? Why would I have one ?

 

The more you have the higher up the MINI Nerd ladder you are.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

That is a good one. I installed on on a friends MINI.

The other kind that is a bolt on kind required the removal of the grill for me to install it on my wife's clubman. Not an easy job.

 

The bolt on one looks like the old, gear shaped ones of yesteryear.

I have the strap one, easy to install and remove with an R53, not sure about an R56.

 

The go badge is good. It took me all of 60sec to put it on. You can put other badges in it. The screw on ring holds the badges in better too.

 

Lift the bonnet & done pretty much. On an R56 it takes 2 minutes.

 

I have the GoBadge Badge Bar on my rear plate and a single one on my grill, both in (expensive!) chrome color.

 

Very nice, was it an easy install as we told you?

Like I said before, expensive but sturdy.

 

:cornut: No importance at all. It's just traditional to have grill badges(MINI clubs and other organizations or informational) on European (sports) cars. Look at my albums in my garage and you'll see 8 or so on the front grill/license plate, lower grill, and even more on the boot hatch.

This is awesome. I want a grill badge and I was looking to have a custom badge made. Does anyone know anything about the quality of a custom one from gobadge? Or even pricing?
