You are correct. Joel sells the vortex generator separately. It's about 18" long with 3 fins and attaches on the bottom of the wing. Sorry for any confusion.
I saw a bunch of these parts today. I have to say they look amazing!! Get that website up soon guys! haha.
For those of you that only speak street talk... I will translate for you. "I ground the shiet out of my curb" Though I missed you guys at the Dragon (it was between the Dragon and a track day...) your products seem like great quality. Good Job! Mark
A quick note: our web site is being built, sorry for the delay, we were invited to Conn. for a display and installs where we met Jan from "RMW" at a tuning event. We are proud to announce we are now working with Jan and Ian Stewart, a class champion and several track record holder based out of Fla. Testing and final design on the new wing (GP style), production on many of our aero aids and new R53, R56, etc. exhaust are near completion Hang in there with us, we don't want to just rush stuff out the door :eek6: Mark Group4Autosport 814-563-1669
awesome stuff mark...lol sorry we have been playing phone tag so i can get this splitter installed lol
More news from Group4Autosport... Here are some prototype pictures of our R53 race car's new wing. This unit is in the very early stages as a concept only. We are experimenting with a multi-element unit designed with world-class Formula One race car principles that will produce downforce with minimal drag. The last picture shows the range of adjustment of the top plane. If we go with two elements as shown, the lower element would need adjustability also, right now it's fixed. The angle set for the top element should yield enough downforce to decrease lap times by 2 seconds through increased grip. Track testing begins next week! I want to stress that prototyping tends to be a long and arduous process to get things right. What we reveal in pictures may not be what we release for sale. For sure, production techniques will demand some design changes. We are doing a whole lot of R&D right now and you can expect to see us roll out products when we are confident we have done the track testing. Our new association with Revolution MINI Works (RMW) will greatly assist with bringing these technologies to the market. RMW's new race car will feature Group4Autosport aerodynamic technology to continue to push the speed envelope. Just trying to keep you up-to-date as we move forward.
Testing is a good thing and moving forward slowly is also good. BTW: Can I see a better shot of the roof graffic on that car please? Jim
Mark...........you have to rush ours........... I can tell you Ian and myself are excited to be working with Group4. I have all the data gathering equipment in both cars for us to test each part in the process. You will all see our data from the aero parts from actual track events. We plan on testing at Sebring in a few weeks
There's more to come, but one step at a time. As an update, we now have 3 drivers testing our products on the track. Two of us are pro-drivers for our local tracks and provide instruction to enthusiasts that want the track experience. Now, with our association with RMW (Revolution MINI Works), we have a race driver that can add another level of input to our design process. We are focused on quality design and thorough testing followed by fabrication that is the best in the business. Stay tuned!
I hope the wing for the r56 looks more like a gp wing ..... Maybe it's the fact I'm viewing it on my iPhone but it looks like someone attached a rice shopping cart wing to a JCW wing's base. No offense, you can't please everyone. Mark
Mark, we are wanting something that works...........for us.........it's not a beauty contest:devil: now if we can have both.........then great
