Check out the first video about 25 seconds in with the illegal overtake and how bad they are crossing over in the second video. I found these on my old forum from when I had a 2004 GTO. Yep. Hellbender. First segment starts at the Crossroads of Time, turning off the Dragon.Second starts at Fontana Village. Both heading east. I wish I was manly like that guy. Pretty sure I could make him vomit in my car.
Slow cars and bad drivers have to compensate by being extra aggressive. Pity, I really like GTOs too.
It's a still a little early for the 2010 stuff, but there is a fall version that will get promoted later in the year. For now watch the threads here MINIs on the Dragon 8 (April 28 - May 2, 2010) - Motoring Alliance And of course there is the Home - MINIs on The Dragon site
I could drive better without my glasses, and trust me you don't want to be a passenger if I can't see!
A study not too long ago showed that 90% of drivers considered themselves above average in driving ability.
Remembering my days in EMS and law enforcement, I can't count the number of times I was on the scene of an accident and heard "But I'm a good driver".
Wow, so much fail-y goodness, I don't even know where to begin. 1) Why would anyone post videos of themselves going 20 MPH on the Hellbender stuck behind cars? 2) Does he think the illegal passing or complete failure to keep the car on his side of the road when he's driving under the speed limit will attract the ladies? 3) Was he having severe cramping in his right leg during the whole video, or were all the accelerator pedal gyrations intentional? 4) WTF was up with that exhaust? I didn't think it was possible to make a 'vette V8 sound like a honda civic with a pep boy fart can, but he sure did his best. I sure hope that's just a cheap mic on his video camera
total crap and the best part is he could be prosecuted based off that video if anyone got it in the authorities hands within the statues time limitations
Wtf? F A I L! Why does it seem that the MINI drivers that show up on the Dragon are THE only drivers making a concisous effort to "mind the line"?! It truly surprises me there aren't more serious accidents (deaths) on the Dragon as there are just so many idiot a** drivers on it everyday. :frown2:
LOL the driver has since disabled comments for both YouTube videos. ut: I'm curious to see the GTO forums and what his fellow GTO owners thought of the videos. I bet they all loved them. Heh.
That was what floored me, the guy proudly displayed his 'driving ability' on YouTube. Taking the time to set up a camera, 'tape it', download to his computer, think what a sight he was and then upload. I hope I can be that cool when and if I grow up
btw, there were plenty good drivers in other cars:yesnod: honestly, i saw a pic or two with me on or over the line. my rationalization was that it was taken in a rare spot where the next turns were in clear view with no incoming traffic. i recognized 2 drivers who are VERY good drivers doing the same thing and who were in the vid. i suspect they were using the same reasoning. that said. i will not use this lazy philosophy next year. so to that end, the fail vid may serve a useful purpose. i hope others "got it" as well. i look forward to seeing y'all next year....can't wait:cornut:
