    I thought someone was working on an OEM replacement that was of a better design.

    Nathan what's your style of driving and car usage? Is it a city driver? Are you a clutch in at the light guy are are you a neutral lover? Double clutching everywhere?

    What are you putting back in? New guide tube and throw out bearing and OEM clutch kit etc? Hope you're mobile again real soon!

    It is how you read through the advertising? But when you look at the T/O bearing nothing has changed? Not sure what you would do anyway? Maybe a Kevlar or composite plastic non lubricating T/o for the track IDK? Most all suppliers buy from a couple of companies and than package them with their plates and discs.

    beaner...Unless OsGiken has changed using standard industry roller bearing assembly it is much the same components used for years. The actual t/o bearing itself is manufactured in Japan and OsGiken assembles it to their sleeve assembly.

    I don't drive often since I work from home and when I do go out it 50/50 around town and longer distances that are mostly highway.

    At a light I put the car in neutral. The transmission has sycros so there is no need to double clutch. On downshifts I do match revs.

    Since we were in there the entire assembly has been replaced, clutch, pressure plate, bearing and flywheel.

    And so what did we put back in there given your 50/50 driving and the hope of future track days?

    Yes, OS Giken has a unique clutch release bearing; all metal construction and precision dual rotating assembly. The OS clutch release sleeve assembly is only compatible with their clutch kits as Greg stated.

    My friend is a tech and recently replaced the clutch on an R53 and the clutch looked exactly like this. 3 pieces almost exact same size. Weird.....

    Looking closely at the surface area I can see what was going on. This is not caused by a defect of any kind :lol:
    I would like to see a picture of the other side which would tell the complete story.

    I haven't seen one on an S come apart that bad before.
