Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! We are staying home and entertaining some other empty nesters who really have nothing better to do than to come here and stuff themselves along with us!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
I will be driving to from Dallas to Houston tomorrow -- a miserable drive. I'm leaving the MINI at home, and driving a rental.
I was supposed to go today, but I got home late last night after shooting 7 cars in five locations in two states on the East coast. I was toast. I slept about ten hours straight last night.
The real fun starts on Saturday, when I drive to Port Arthur to visit my best friend and his family. On Saturday I'm thinking I need to get a po-boy from Amuny's Liquor Store. We used to go there for lunch back in high school. Yes, we ate lunch at a liquor store. Awesome sandwiches!
On Sunday, his wife and I will do some serious cooking.

Happy Thanksgiving, it is good I am not going anywhere, the ice is starting to slick up here in Colorado, it will be a ***** in the morning.
I think I will have Chili tomorrow. Perhaps a small turkey next week when the traveling wife gets home.
Take care and be safe.

Since our son was working on Thursday, we were finally able to assemble the family and share in a wonderful feast last night (Friday) here on the Central Coast.
What a great thing it is to be healthy and free, living in the USA! Thank you to everyone who has made this life possible for each and every one of us.-

Only going about 5 miles from home. Only required to bring one item for the meal. This year it shall be Leek Bread Pudding. A savory, custardy, leek and cheese concoction.
Photos to be proffered later.-

Don't burn your gobbler, unless it's one of these... Then just throw it directly into the flames!

Yesterday cooked a non frozen, free range turkey, raised in the open air and sunshine without antibiotics, was vegetable fed, on a farm by mennonite farmers. Brined and slow cooked it for 7 hours..... Tasted soooo good...
