I am a fan of the color Purple Haze and I have always thought it would be fun to have a convertible. So, just for fun, I Googled it and there are a few out there for sale. Wouldn't you know that one of them is in Jacksonville? :mad2: I visit this car on line everyday. I have no money for a toy car. :cryin: I wouldn't dream of getting rid of Little Wing. No, I'm talking about wanting to be a MINI Hoarder. Why doesn't someone buy this car and put me out of my misery? I even dreamed that I owned this car last night, cruising down The Dragon. If this were my car then I maybe I could join the Gen 1 Club. :cornut: Isn't she gorgeous? Used 2005 MINI Cooper For Sale | Jacksonville FL . I am pathetic.
I was afraid of that. It's pure MINI greed, plain and simple. I am just dying to rub those wheel arches and trim down with some Black Wow. :yesnod:
Nice looking MINI, but if it is a Cooper with an automatic (CVT) run away. Do not even dream about it. If it is a manual keep dreaming or better yet buy it.
I keep eyeing the Elises on ebay just to torture myself. The used ones are getting cheaper and cheaper, but my wife would never let me buy one anyway. Well she might, but I'm sure the consequences would outweigh the benefits.
Exactly. My husband has come to like my car, it took a while, but I haven't even shared this info with him. We are remodelling a bathroom after the original 1965 plumbing blew up and now have 2 sons in college. I love my Clubman S and don't want to get rid of her. This R 52 isn't an S, but that's OK. If I had a Justa too, then I would have the best of both worlds and generations! You have a beautiful car, BTW.
What year is it? By that shifter (5speed).... looks like it has the dreaded Midlands tranny. Do NOT buy :frown2:
The bathroom is a must. We are currently sharing with 19 year old son. It is just like the gas station restroom. 2005 I don't know anything about Midlands or Getrag trannys. But I am not buying this car. I am so grateful for the MINI that I do have and love so much. But, I just checked and the PH Cabrio is still on the Mitsubishi dealer's site. It's Saturday. I can't believe no one bought it today. I did tell hubs about it and he humored me for a bit, asking a few question like mileage, MY, ect. Then he asked what they wanted for it, about $5K? :eek6: Oh honey, if they were asking $5K it would already be here, hidden under an azalea bush out front like an Easter egg while I worked on figuring out a good way to break the news. The dealer took the price off the site is asking for offers, but they were asking about $13K, IIRC.
The Midlands box is a bucket of cogs & bolts that seem to fail at high mileage. The Getrag seems to be a better assembled bunch of cogs & bolts that hold together better. Although as we all should know anything mechanical can & will break sometimes even the Getrag.
Thanks, and I see the Getrag is what MINI is using now so I suppose Little Wing has the Getrag tranny. But, of course, I'm NOT buying this or any car.
