Road crash: just one since 1980, I was racing a 3 litre Capri in my race engined Austin 1300 until I understeered into a bridge.
Rally: 1st I end over ended my MK2 Escort after hitting a tree, 2nd was short of falling down a 2000' mountain drop in Lebanon, 3rd you all know.
Along the way there has been plenty of near misses. LOL

Understeer does wonders for the prostate....all of that additional pressure.

I got blindsided by some arsehole as I was leaving a parking space in my first Mini, in 1963. I had looked and no one was there, pulled out and the arsehole ran the light behind me and plowed into me. The cops wanted to cite me for "assured clear distance" but then they found that Mr. Arsehole didn't have a valid license, to boot.
I was 17 at the time, so I guess that's why the cops felt compelled to cite me until they found out about the other guy's penchant for not following the law.-

Did this while pissed off and in a rush... never a good combination for driving. This happened in June.
I was backing out of an enclosed parking area with metal support beams, turned too sharply too quickly and caught the bumper in such a way that it ripped it off on the driver's side and grazed the hood. I wanted to take off my hood decals for awhile and considered the accident a good reason to just repaint the entire front end--rock chips and general sun-fading from the previous owner's lack of care. Ziptied the front bumper on and went home to inspect damage. A broken foglight and side marker.
Pics:
Looks great now, but the bodyshop that my coworkers recommended me to did a terrible job respraying it... scratches, fisheyes, orange peel. All fixed now, but it was such an unnecessary hassle for a stupid accident that happened below 5mph.
What bugs me though, is that they painted over the bumper underneath the lower grille, so now it's obviously fake.-

Yes. Even got video of the whole thing out there on the youtube. Lots of factors I could point to, but ultimately I F***ED UP. Never should have made the left turn until I had the clear view.
Good thing is there were no serious injuries (because nobody was riding with me). -

Okay MINI enthusiasts have you ever wrecked your MINI or put it in the ditch by pushing too hard?
No...... I just don't do stuff like that.... -
I was rear ended by a kid in traffic. I felt sorry for him he had never had a accident. New bumper and hatch some paint and it's good as new. -
Oh boy, I remember that day! Myself, I came close ditching it a couple of
times on some runs. Now one of those SAAB's (actually two) were a dif-
ferent story, one totaled one not so much!
