K..... are we saying that a header ( shown in prior posts) will pull 10 more WHP over a stock Header?? Or a stock header with the cat removed??

And I assume that this is just a change the header and test, correct?? Or is it a TUNE and then test??

I do know that in the EU, your ( K ) design is the choice for the most!! Seems there were issues, with an aftermarket set, and they ( Germany) went to the cat delete, for reliability and the power seems to up there also!!

I know SOP with a cat delete and Header.. was NILL!! But then 5-6 HP is hard to feel!! LOL

Engine dynamometers are generally the province of serious tuners and the OE engine business while the engine dyno is necessary for accuracy and the chassis dyno for the convenience. In the end there is no substitute for the real thing apply and test.

Because a comment was directed personally to an an off topic presentation that appears from time to time with regards to my personal experience with dynos and the assumption that I have not tested by such devises is exactly that. An assumption. I have never thought it a gain to flaunt or brag about Chassis Dyno results.
    To use my phrase:

So many can post impressions of mystical and magical fantasies about their MINIs performance impressing many, less those that know better who merely get entertainment and smile in silence.

Motoring Alliance as I have observed does not tolerate the non productive or negative banter between members on specific related threads as is the case of other forums. New members should review the policy's and guide lines and request posting tips from the experienced moderators.

    Topic related:
Kieth's modification to the oem exhaust manifold is not A new idea or concept only new for some seeing it presently on this forum.
It is a great inexpensive modification that can be easily accomplished by most anyone in an afternoon and a exhaust shop or good welder.

Ah, so in comes the one that wants truth. No ulterior motives here I'm sure. Wonder who that RMW guy is, can't be the same businessman as Revolution Motor Works. Oh wait it is. It's gonna be a bumpy ride now. :eek:ut:

Great answer! yeah, that is going to satisfy any beast...:mad2:

We knew that was coming, surprise us, don't post the obvious.

Like you don't know better? :prrr:

Aren't MINIs escape pods from the day to drudgery many of often experience? By extension then this site suspends reality as well as evidenced by the latest round of posts from certain people.

Nice to see you come out of the lurk shell and post something useless. Thanks for helping to up the post count of the site.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good argument. Obfuscation is strong with this one... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqJS3EQ_v6w]YouTube - Darth Vader Breathing ?[/ame]

I hear Peppermint Patty's Teacher, same old questions you didn't get answers to on NAM or MiniTorque. What makes you think you will get them now. :skep:

More pure music from the mouths of babes...and upping the post count to boot

I think we have seen enough here. I'm not going to lock or hide this thread. Y'all are somewhat responsible adults that just fell back into being bratty tweens. That's not the way it works around here, the past year with very little of this and now y'all go farblondjet. Oy..what did I do to deserve this?

all i wanted to know was if the header mod was a reasonable alternative to a full header for the cost.

Only one person provide a reasonable answer and had no need to prove it with a dyno sheet.

    Thanks huevo!

now i back to the relevant information and enough with the pissing matches.

Burnt toast contains increased levels of a known carcinogen, benzopyrene. The yellow, crystalline chemical is found in coal tar and cigarette smoke and is produced when organic matter is inefficiently burnt. It can also be made when cooking food in an oven encrusted with burnt-on food. Benzopyrene is one of a group of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) that have been shown to cause cancer in animals.

Header pipe size, or Slamming the mess out of the flow as the Header flange and small port!!
This is KEY!! Equal length.. smooth bends.. Collector design... Cat / precat/ NO cat.. all this is important. yes??

Well, on goes the Ported Head, a Camshaft, Matched Intake... cat back exhaust, HEADER !! Now you are rocking... yes!!?? NO WAY!!

I have just seen a few HIGH dollar Headers... Big name stuff. and the exhaust port is only to the stock Head Port exit design!! Yep, got the exhaust PORTED, the larger valve, moved the the rev limit up to 7200.... and 1/3 of that exiting exhaust is SLAMMING up against a Header flange because that trick header, is just that... TRICK( looking)!

And the flange/pipe can not be opened up to the correct size cause there Just isnt enough metal there!! What are the names if these ?? I am not going to say... I will say that before you pay.. make sure the header inlet is as LEAST as big as the ported Head you are going to install.... or baby, you will be wondering where all this power went!! Which is right into a wall!!

    Just me....................................
