We only seem nice. We speak in code, sort of.
"Welcome to the South" = "I wish you damn Yankees would stay the hell away."

Kitty, the further South you go, the more polite the people. It is that good ol' southern charm and manners. I was born in the South and raised in the South. In my almost 52 years, I have been to many other states and a few other countries. The Southern States are the most pleasant when it comes to the people. Most Southerners will go out of their way to help a stranger. I remember one time during Motorcycle Speed Week (Feb. 1984), I met a guy from Japan at the Florida Welcome Station that was traveling around the world on his new Yamaha Virago. During his course of reaching Florida, he had broken a clutch lever when he dropped the bike. I led him into Pensacola to the Yamaha dealership where he could buy a new lever. I installed the lever for him and led him back out to the Interstate. He gave me a Japanese coin for my trouble and he was on his way. I still have that coin to this day. It was a good feeling to help someone like that. In saying that, I think that MINI owners are a lot like motorcyclist. We are part of a large family and would do anything to help each other. Southerners will help just about anybody that needs help. If you ever get down to Pensacola, give me a shout.
James

I've found minimark is among the best at this skill of making you seem valued and welcome, while inwardly hating your guts and wanting you to go back to Detroit or Chicago or whatever hellhole you came from.

Rest easy Paul... I'm back in Yankee land
I have to say I was very impressed with DDMWork's set up.
They have a great facility (complete with dyno).
For those MINIs that live near them, I highly recommend using them for service, upgrades/mods, etc
Dave and his wife Ivy are first-class people who won't steer you wrong.-

Hmmm.. I figured she is referring to a tattoo sleeve. Most Jews (so I am told by my wife who is Jewish) stay away from tattoo's because of what Hitler did to the Jews tattooing numbers on them. I know many Jewish people with tattoo's though, probably just depends on how religious you are.
