It's deeper than that...
According to Jewish Law...
The prohibition of tattooing is found in the Torah: "You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves: I am the Lord" (Leviticus 19:28).
Of course like anything else involving Jewish Law if you ask 5 Rabbi's you get 8 different answers.
It's more of a generational thing these days too. The younger folk, like KittyMini are more apt to get a tattoo than old folks like myself.
