If you put some spray glue on a paper plate then you can use a small brush to put a small amount up where it is coming loose. Let's it get tacky first then lightly put the headliner back in place. Don't press it on hard because any wet glue will bleed through the fabric.

To hold it in place you can use a little painters tape around the edge. It sould fully dry in about an hour.

 

No need to be sorry at all. Most of us here on M/A friendly and like suggestions. You seem to be in a position to offer good advice so keep posting.

Do not try to glue, the headliner material is thin and the glue bleeds. The headliner needs to be removed from the car and cleaned. Then new material is glued to the board. I always tell customers if they don't want to repair use fitting pins on the edge to hold in place. I have recovered five mini headliners in the last few weeks. I try to talk the customers into using black instead of the standard grey, which creates a two tone custom look. In South Florida, most shops are charging $175 to $250 to replace the headliner. I have done this many times. A MINI is not a 57 Chevy iyou do not need to use fitting pins. 3M headliner spray glue is made for....you guessed it headliners.

This is a spot fix not a full repair. Read my instructions again. You have to let the glue dry until it is tacky then lightly apply the fabric to the glue, no pressing to prevent glue bleed through.

Who needs a $175- $250 repair when you can fix it yourself in 30 min with a $10 can of 3M headliner spray glue.
