^^^ Looks like someones interpretation, rather than what each page/section/line says.

Just a suggestion, if you use paragraphs it will be easier to read.

Don't those patients already come? They just don't pay.

I grew up in Los Angeles. What makes you think Fresno is a big city?
My father was involved with the UCLA Medical Center and set up a program to help children face surgery and serious illnesses. A cousin in-law was head of Orthopedics at UC Davis. I'm friends with a few other doctors. This has given me something of an inside peek at the medical field, and the problems it faces.

Explain why it is mixed up. There will be more regulations on health insurance, and the government will require more people to have insurance. The reason for requiring more to have insurance is that the system pays for these people anyway. It is making them take responsibility and share the burden.

More regulation because some of the practices currently in places are deemed unfair, such as charging you for insurance while you are health and then dropping you when you get sick.

The insurance companies in Japan and the Netherlands are not losing money. According to an interview with the head of an insurance company in Holland, they had to do a lot of work to make their company work efficiently enough to survive, but they managed it. In many cases the changes improved the health care for their customers. Health care in the Netherlands does not suffer when compared to the USA.

Sounds like they need to make a lot of improvements if they are going to survive.

Yes, this has been widely reported. Have you been paying attention to what the health care reform actually contains?

What free health care? Who is talking about free health care? Mostly it is about changes to insurance coverage, who has to buy it, and how it works. The attempt is to make more affordable, not free. I haven't heard anything about the elimination of co-pay.

Looks like the typical BS scare tactics put out by unscrupulous parties. How about verifying before spewing it out here?

How can any of "elected representatives" have actually read this bill in its entirety. Change moves so fast and is so voluminous that it would take a genius with speed reading ability to keep pace. I thing we can agree there are not many of that type in DC.

I haven't read it and probably not going to. I just don't have that kind of time. But I will concede that most of that is probably taken out context and the personal comments don't help to clarify the issue.

My personal position: Universal care is possible. But what the DC boys are doing is not it.

Should we change our entire health system and one sixth of our economy on a narrow party line vote, that I think we all can agree on, very few with voting powers have read the entire Bill and fully understand it's substance?

Why should a Bill of the magnitude and sweeping changes to the American society, that WILL effect every single citizen (except for the Congress and Senate:rolleyes:) not be debated in it's entirety on the floor of the Senate and House in full view of those whose lives will be forever changed, before passage?

At what point in history did "For the People, By the People" become outdated and the great American Patriots who fought and died for these principles become misguided and insignificant?

I think this quote is interesting, it's from the book, W. Cleon Skousen's The 5,000 Year Leap:

Principle 7 - The proper role of government is to protect equal rights, not provide equal things.

The Founders recognized that the people cannot delegate to their government any power except that which they have the lawful right to exercise themselves.

Our government has skewed it's authority so much since the Founding Fathers established it, they would not even recognize it

I was going to mention this to Robin after his tirade against me that I bet not one single Congressman or Senator has read the entire 1018 page HR3200. But I figured somebody would step up, thanks guy's.

Anyway, I, actually WORKING in the health care system, see what is happening and anyone the is so naive as to not think this is going to overwhelm the system is sorely mistaken.

Oh and Robin, since Fresno is the 5th largest city in CA and the 35th largest in the US, I think it qualifies as a "big city" :prrr:
