Thanks! Could you tell me how I post a picture and description of my Mini? I did something in a "garage". I just can't figure out how to make it appear!
-
By the way, your Mini looks fantastic!

We will help you obsess about your MINI as you wait for his arrival!

Welcome to the addiction. Breaking that thing in during the Colorado winter should be interesting. Can't wait to see some pictures once you've got it on the road!

Welcome to MA!

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the warm welcome! I can hardly wait! I have called the Ask Mini number once hoping they would tell me where it was in the production line...no such luck. It is supposed to be completed by 10/21. It is happening so fast! I should have it by Thanksgiving! I plan to get some snow tires. I am from Massachusetts, so snow does not scare me much. We will be fine - and for those deep days, I will take my husband's 4Runner! It melts by noon around here! Denver has the best weather in the US! I can't seem to make my VIN number work though! I have tried it a few times in Apps and stuff just to see if it would work and it won't! It always comes up "not a VIN". Won't I need this for tracking it on the ship?

Welcome to M/A and to the world of MINI
The VIN might not work in Apps, but should work just fine while tracking your MINI through production and while it's on a ship. Double check your VIN with your MA that you have the right #. Hope that helps.

Hi! I found out from my MA that my Min is in the Body Shop! That sounds good to me! It must look like my Min by now! Gosh, this is crazy how it can be so exciting. By Thanksgiving I will be BEGGING to run errands! Imagine that! I still have one teenager left at home and I have been picturing how I will help with car rides. I guess that is why I am getting a roof rack! I'll just strap 'em up there! They're a tough bunch of athletes! They can take it!

My MA just told me my Min will be going the LOOONG way around South America to LA rather than through the Panama Canal! I live in Colorado so I think it is going to go to that port in LA and then to here. I thought they went through the canal! I guess I will show you pictures whent he Easter Bunny comes!!!!!

Mr. Jim -
Well, My Min is waiting at the port for a ship! It must look so dang cute! I wrote my MA for information about the shipping line and specifics but I don't know anything yet. I have not found a shipping line that takes the long way around South America, so I cannot imagine! Seems like the Panama Canal or Galvastan would be a lot more fuel efficient anyway, but my order seems to have the code for the port is PHMPOA, which I think is in California. hmmmm.... I guess I should know something soon anyway.

I was going to mention that you track your production vehicle using the production number until it gets a VIN, so if you have a VIN, you're well on your way. But you ARE. Just waiting for a ship!
Keep on checking this:
Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics - worldwide ocean transport, inland services, supply chain solutions, terminal services
Under Track and Trace in Customer Tools. Use your full VIN or the last 7 numbers. When it gets assigned to a ship, it'll pop up. Use the Cargo ID field.
I would be VERY surprised if they took it around the cape. Unless it got assigned a ship making stops along the South American coast, there's no need for it, and I didn't know that BMW used any of those lines. It SHOULD be coming through the canal. My ship, the VOLANS LEADER, passed through the canal on the 16th. My port of entry is Port Hueneme, CA, where the BMW processing facility is located. I would think yours would too, before being trucked to your dealer. Keep us posted!
