Sorry I can't help, I'm a R53 guy. So I'll give you a bump. Some one will be along that can help.
I would not run it till I know your cams are timed correctly. If not you run the risk of binding a valve.

Yeah...it is an interference motor...bad timing means new valvetrain...maybe a new motor...
I'm guessing if you did not lock the cams....time to get it towed...so the timing can be set...
I am a gen1 guy...but sounds like it is not good. -
