Hello and welcome to M/A....
Jack points are known to have a problem staying on the MINI. I read somewhere where someone made a DIY set out of 4 hockey pucks and molly bolts.
Here is some info that might be helpful.

Jack Point Part # 51-71-7-039-760
Retail is about 15 bucks a pop. If your dealer is looking for $35 ea I'd be looking for a new dealer. You can probably find many of the Sponsors here on Motoring Alliance do carry the OEM ones.
The TSW ones are quite nice and don't get ripped out like the OEM ones do. -
If you stay on track and/or don't run over stuff like cones, etc........ the OEM plastic jack points will stay in-place just fine.

:cornut: Welcome! Welcome! You're a Gentleman and a Scholar to take on the task of putting your Lady's Mini back into running condition. Of course, once it's fixed and you drive it, she may never get it back.

Yep, I already love her car! I want one of my own but it is going to be awhile. I have a Mazda 3 5 door that is so boring to drive in comparison. Feels like a family station wagon after driving the Mini around.

I had to replace one of mine the other day - $16 at the dealer for the factory part. However, before I got it I just used a short piece of 2X4, it worked just fine....

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the advice!
Here is a tacky idea.... I have read that some people are putting Hockey pucks on top of there jack stands between the jack and the pad. What if I drilled a hole through the middle of a puck and bolted that on to the jacking point using the same method that TSW uses to attach there Aluminum ones.

That way it won't slide around.
Wy wife will probably kill me if she found out I stuck hockey pucks to her car. That is, if a slipping jack doesn't first. Just a thought..... -

Congrats on your wife's 06! We also love pictures here, so when you get a chance why not start your "garage".

Welcome. Enjoy the car (after the work...).
Funny enough most people I know call the rubber jack points, "Jack-Pucks". lol.
