Can you elaborate? I don't understand the pics...I've plugged other LED bulbs and they have male end that plug into female, reassemble and reinstall...

 

The white part of your LED plugs into the spot where the orange bulb is now...

 

Yeah... you unplugged too much stuff. You twist the bulb mount to get it out of the side marker, then remove the bulb, then plug in the LED, then plug the cable back in.

 

Well, I kinda see his problem... The stock bulb socket is a female end, the new led bulb socket is a male end. The factory wire harness is a male end.......

 

that's messed up...I'd call Aaron at out motoring and ask him...two males don't go into each other...at least not in the electrical world lol...

 

Is that the new light you're holding in the 3rd picture?



That will plug into the original bulb holder (the L shaped piece in your 2nd picture). You will keep using the original bulb holder. Pull out the amber bulb and plug in the white connector of the new light.

 

Ahhh yes, it was easier to replicate the bulb base connection than to pay for specific injection molding tooling to replicate the BMW/MINI connection. The bulb base already exists out in the world and is easily available.....

You might want to coat all the electrical contacts with some of that dielectric bulb grease. The BMW/MINI connectors all seem to has the waterproof gaskets in place to resist contact corrosion.

 

Wait... Hold on. Just plug it in? No no, what you wanna do is plug it in.:arf:
