Probably has etched the clearcoat. You may be able to polish it out by hand with ScratchX or something similar. Personally, I would work it with Swirl and my random orbital with a yellow or orange pad until gone, then finish with Amigo and a white pad, then re-wax or re-seal.

The only thing I would do to my car is wet sand with anything from 2000 to 3000 and polish/ buff it out. -
I'll try to get a pic of it this weekend after I shoot the seagull. The scratchex didn't work. It does look like it etched into the clear coat.

I'd polish first to see if that got it... Then wet sand as a last resort.
I try not to tell other folks to wet sand, because I've seen rookies without proper instruction sand right through their paint.... Ouch
Though you're not likely to do that with 2000/30000 -
