They seem to take a few miles too mate to rotors....but they get better... I think it took a couple thousand miles of mostly highway usage on my car to get a good feel with new rotors... Guess I could have used them more to accelerate making the feel better, but once done, they feel pretty similar to the OEM pads that came off my gen1. But my front wheels are cleaner than my rears now...
Second the draggy caliper.... Had to replace my right rear when my brakes were done last ..check the cable first, but I bet it is sticky internally.
Great to here it is all fine now. Come on down and see us sometime. Or you could meet up at Mid-Ohio in June for the vintage race.
I checked the steering/braking (hands off wheel, straight and true) as I drove home from work last night. When I have time tomorrow, I will get the wheel off the passenger side, and have my wife pump the brakes while I watch the action of the caliper, etc. I plan on flushing the brake fluid, again when I have time. Work tends to get in the way of the fun stuff :cryin: mrntd. I am hoping to visit for coffee and donuts, put faces to avatars/usernames/cars, MINI talk, etc. Again, work tends to scupper my plans. I am scheduled to work every other weekend (automotive stamping plant), and I work second shift so I don't get home until about 1 am. It is about a 3 hour drive down to the Columbus area. Thinking of taking a half day vacation on a Friday night when my weekend off coincides with coffee and donuts.
IF you don't mind cleaning and greasing them yearly....I'd go more that way with a tracked car... Better feel...but more MX..
