Ok, finally had a chance to chill and figure this out. The clock spring is available and easily replaced. Biggest issue solved.
Looks like it simply failed. There is definitely something broke inside of it. It barely turns.
New one coming !

Scott I have no idea, but my guess would be with an airbag wheel with cruise & audio hook ups it probably is important. Can it be glued back together?

Can you post the pic of the real oem?
My guess is the pin is needed as that piece I think would rotate keeping the wires from ripping out/breaking. Again just a guess -

why is this part called "clock spring?" I keep hearing this whenever people deal with blow air bag replacement.
