Thought you always went with Gates.... that's ACdelco
They went up in price.
The kicker is they are all made at the same place and they are all identical in everyway. Same part made at the same place with different part numbers.
AC Delco is the cheapest now, then Gates has went up to $120 and MINI. MINI wants your first born and still charge you $230.00 + for the same part.
The only difference is the label on the box they come in and where you buy the part. :ihih:
That reminds me....

Always love Vonnegut...
It will even better when he gets the car back.
Soon enough my friend! He ran into an issue... Evidently the car already had a replaced clutch bc it was a luk brand clutch that he pulled out. Whoever did the first clutch sheared the pressure plate bolts and scarred the crank where the rear main seal is. So it was leaking and soaking the clutch. So he is trying to fix, if he hasn't already, the scarring so that it won't leak again. Once he's done with that then it'll be quickly finished. Should be today or tomorrow.
You need something like this.

YAAAAAAS. We called all over and everyone acted like we had no ideas what we were talking about. Thanks Chuck!
Call an automotive machine shop. They should know what it is & where to get one.
Thanks for the tip but we are struggling to find people that do this or have one for minis.
You need a spare MINI so you can work on your MINI
