The fires all seem to start after the engine is shut off and the circuit kicks in to start the secondary pump to cool down the turbo bearing.
You are all going to the Dragon to drive..... So don't stop.....

 

Ideally...

As one drives from home to MOTD the car catches fire and when you pull over a boulder is dislodged falling on the MINI and putting out the fire.

Hows that for encompassing... :arf:

I hope it is done by MOTD. I would hate ot be there and start watching all those metoers bursting into flames

That will work.

On a serious note, about all this water pump and fire stuff. Does anyone think that this may cut down on the number of folks who will actually show up at MOTD? It will take a long time for the re-call to get done.

I would hope not. Remember there were only about 5 or 6 reports of actual fires over close to 350,000 cars worldwide. Percentage wise that's pretty darn low.
