:cornut: Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! y'all be careful. The 'S' word is heresy to Crashton and Metalman. On my R56(Dave.O is right), 2/3 can in the gas tank for the injectors and 1/3 can through the intake for the intake valves. Over 80kmi and no walnut job yet.

Not an uncommon problem. To quote a favorite mechanic friend "hell boy they all do that". :yesnod:

Haha, yea I've seen a few threads where the debate rages on and on about the effectiveness/safety or Seafoam. I'm on the fence as the only time I've EVER used it was in my old 91 Mustang, had a 383 stroker motor in it that had a ton of engine chatter. One bottle Seafoam later it purred like a kitten. Then I ran a 200 shot of nos and blew the crap out of the engine. :cryin:

Stop it! Your showing our age!! :biggrin5:

Um........we don't condone sniffing coolant at MA.
The stock coolant tank is bad about splitting.

So like I said, today my coolant expansion tank exploded at the seam, inside my engine compartment. So I called WMW and they had an OEM tank in stock (too broke for anything else). While I was already under the hood I removed the rigged air filter/hot air intake and put the intake system back to stock.

Wouldn't you know it, so far the hesitation is GONE! I only drove it for 20 mins but drove it hard and got it nice and hot and the entire time the whole power band, at any throttle position, was perfectly smooth. So I am going to cross my fingers for that as the problem, change the fuel filter to be safe and call it a day.

It decreased the engine/sc sound drastically but it actually feels faster and "put together" now. Will wait till I can buy a proper enclosed intake system before messing with that again...

I have a CIA. It's completely boxed in. I cut a hole in the plastic at the back so it can get all the cold air it needs from the grill In front of the windshield. The SC sounds sweet at WOT.
good luck I hope the problem is solved.

saved by some new plug wires!

Update...problem still existed today after going from a cone filter, to the stick Airbox, to a different cone filter. So I called Way and spoke to him and...duh....he said "change the plug wires". They are the original and are dated 2004, lol!

So I didn't have much money so no fancy 27mm, -50ohm, naked dancing girl, flame throwing, spark plug wires....but I was able to get a set of NGK 7mm Blue plug wires from Napa. They cost me $31, and let me tell you...Holy difference batman! The car is completely different, it pulls sooooooo damn hard it's retarded and all I can do is :D

Thanks again everyone, you can consider this matter CLOSED!!:cornut:
