Not really sure but if you know your coils and plugs are good it could be a fuel pump or filter problem

Thanks, I know the coils are good, but haven't checked plugs yet. No codes since the could were replaced. I'll look at plugs and vacuum leaks when I get home.

You could with a fuel presser gage but I can’t remember if the R56 has a place to attach a gage. Maybe some of our R56 guys will know. If not I can look at my wife’s Mini when I get home this afternoon. Have you changed the fuel filter?

I'm a bit embarrassed. I thought you had a Cooper S. The regular non turbo Cooper is not a direct injection engine so no HP fuel pump. If you don't have one you should pick up a copy of the Bentley shop manual for the R56.

Welcome to Motoring Alliance. Not being much of a mechanic I’d check for any engine codes, then check the spark plugs and vacuum leaks.

Is there a way to test the fuel pump?
