It might be fun to drive for a while, but I wouldn't want my sister to marry one.

Pretty underwhelming, even for an easter egg with a ground effects package.

One aspect of my drive in an Abarth was the exhaust sound, very nice. Sounds better in real life that YouzTubez stuff.

I liked the exhaust note and the fun-to-drive factor of the Abarth, but I just couldn't get over the overwhelming feeling of being surrounded by cheapness. It's probably because my final act before selling my Fiat X1/9 was putting the choke linkage back together with parts from a go-kart.

When sound becomes more important than throttle response, gear box response, handling and road feel then maybe. That's not to say the Stebros on my old E type weren't killer but the sound sure didn't make the ride.

You suffered through a Fiat from the prime of Fiat's American failure. Oh my!

I know these new ones have nothing in common with Fiat's of old other than the name. That being said when I think it would be fun to have an Abarth those old Fiat memories come flooding back in. :nonod:

Heck it took me 4 years to get over the fact MINI's used a Neon engine.

What really swayed me was the 350 mile southern Ohio test drive I had in my friends wife's MINI. I came home walked in the door & said, "Babs we're buying a MINI. The rest as they say is history. :D
