Hi and welcome to Motoring Alliance.
I'm sure somebody here will help you in one of the tech threads, but will probably need more details on the symptoms.
Cheers.

Ok thanks, here we go. Ac compressor bracket was broken, thought it was comp untill it feel out. So I replaced the bracket and put the comp back on. I drove it last night and it was ok fine/ All normal. Then this am my girlfriend calls and says the idioty light is on, she pulls over and it dies. I go and its hot. The upper hoses are smoking hot whilst the lower radiator hose is cool. The fans are not on. Ok so heres the deal, I didnt plug up the ac to the wiring harness because system isnt charged yet, could that affect the fans?? We must tow it now 25 mi, I plugged up the comp to the harness, and it did crank up and run the 5 mi to her work, after cooling dn for 5 hrs. HELP me, was kinda hoping someone stole it while it was sitting on side of interstate but the girlfriend loves it. Fun to drive but to work on??? Thanks, Mike

Welcome to MA.
The fan runs when you turn on the AC or when the water in the radiator is hot. It could be there is not enough water in it or it has a air bubble in it. I'm a R53 guy so I'm not sure about your year but on the 02-06 there is a bleed screw on the top radiator hose. If you have one open it up and fill the radiator tank with antifreeze till some comes out the bleed screw.
Maybe one of the R56 guys will be able to help more.
Good luck. -
