As noted above....
This will tell you if you are achieving high fuel pressure (assuming your fuel filters are in good working order)....
OR
The dealer can run a fuel pressure test checking "System Pressure" and "Residual Pressure" by connecting a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel line....

Your car will start to run like crap because it's not getting enough fuel. Low boost and may not able to get above 3-4 k on your tach.

Do you have a ScanGauge II? It reads fuel pressure in near real time (approximate 1 second delay). You can watch the pressure change based on demand....
Clogged or near clogged fuel filters can restrict fuel flow going to the HPFP..... There are two of them.... There may be enough fuel flowing up to a certain point and then starvation sets in....
