Jim, hitting that would have been a crappy experience:arf:

I have to say, I just got a chuckle:
This thread just reminded me of the time waaaaaaaaay back when I was in high school. My boyfriend at the time drove a beautiful Chevette (snicker). Anyway, A Uhaul was at a stop light in front of us and hadn't pulled down the door. On top of this, they didn't bother removing the washing machine (the lone item in the back) from the dolly they had used.
Anyway, when the light turned green and they stepped on the gas, the dolly, with it's washer, shot right out the back of it and my bf rammed right into it. Ha! Ha! I couldn't stop laughing. Still can't -

I know we all have stories, but I'll never forget the day on 95 (I hate that road) when the car in front (fast lane) and the car next to them (middle lane) split right and left, leaving me a clear view of the commode, seat, tank and all, sitting up right on the yellow line. This was in traffic, at about 65 and it was darn close when I squeezed by it.

Jackrabbit + MINI + ~100 speed units = One bloody mess
Cattle Guard + Splitter + DIP! = Yet another front bumper
Ant Hill + Splitter + Agricultural Excursion x Track Day = 3rd ones gone! -

Hey Nathan you need to crank those coil-overs up & get you some ground clearance. The groundhogs in Ohio are fat so ground clearance is needed.

J hit a huge Oregon raccoon coming home late from a gig. Said it sounded like a bowling ball rolling around under the car. It took out the radiator, washer reservoirs, a support pillar, and various other bits. Odd thing was the bumper had no cosmetic damage. Sure glad insurance covered it!

Dodged a tire just yesterday - thoughts of this thread flashed before my eyes.

I dodged a ladder once. That was hairy. Had to go all the way into the breakdown lane, in the rain, at 65 mph. Would have done a lot of damage.

Going to the Atlanta airport one night and right in downtown in the tunnel on the connector, a Coke truck lost one of those heavy duty hand trucks. That thing looked possessed as is whipped down the interstate, bouncing off the walls and changing directions like a chased antelope. It crossed the interstate 3 or 4 times before slowing, but everyone managed to avoid it. Pucker factor was HIGH that night...
