Yes, the MiniFini hitch will fit on your car without having to remove the spare tire. The hitch is installed behind the bumper and bolted to the frame. There are two circle holes cut into the rear bumper cover but you do not have to remove the rear light or anything like that. Hope this helps!

MINIFini for the win.....

It's out then. I'm not about to drill any holes in the bumper cover. I don't think there is a solution for me...bummer

Look at the pics on the website before deciding. It is not that noticeable and works fantastic.

When one could buy a hitch from the Official MINI Parts Catalog the MINIFINI was the one they used. Dealers even had a real nice template setup for where to place the holes.
Where are located, possibly we can find one installed for you to view. -

The top-left image in this picture shows what the port-holes look like with the holes cut in the back bumper. We send along clear instructions and there are also instructional videos on Youtube. We don't have a specific installer in Southern California but your local Mini dealership may do it, or really any good body shop can do the work as well. Our owner Russell is always happy to answer phone calls if you have any additional questions about the Sport-Link system. Our phone number is on our website, Mini-Fini designer of Mini-Cooper accessories: Home
