I spoke to someone at MIMI US here at MOTD. The reason for the delay is that MINIs order projections were incorrect. More people ordered Justa F56s than expected. As the base price is lower more options were added, one being the HK systems. HK is ramping up production and all should be back to normal by July
Hope that helps

On the F56, for $750 you get an external amp and all the speakers replaced, plus extra tweeters on the A pillars and dual subwoofers under the seats (a new feature in the 3rd gen). If you want something better than the base stereo and be done with it, it's not a bad deal. You can assemble aftermarket components for $750 and get better sound if you install it yourself. If you're having it done by a shop, $750 doesn't go very far at all for parts plus labor.-

My advice is do NOT get the HK system.
You can do better down the road with an aftermarket system if you stock NON-HK dies.
If you have an HK system and it fails (and it will) you have to rewire the whole car to go aftermarket.
It's not worth the price for what you get. -

I don't have it, but my wife does. Can't speak to longterm durability or reliability, but there is a very noticeable difference in the sound: Hers is better.

Oh with the F56 you may also loose your muffler sound since its piped into the car through the speakers.:frown2: -
As a follow-up, another dealer I had been working with called me up on Monday and said he'd be able to place the order. Made a deal on Wednesday, and the car is already in production. Estimated completion date 5/15.

Now the fun part, waiting on production.
Your patience shall be rewarded.
