Turned on my heaters in the garage last night, set them on low because I figured I didn't want to waste the electricity. After 20 minutes of warming up my engine this morning, well... to hell with the electricity. Up to 11!

Are all MINI seat heaters as overactive as mine? Even when it's waaaay below zero, I can only stand about 30 seconds on position 1 before I smell meat burning and have to shut it off. :eek6:

The heater, OTOH, runs at full heat almost all of the time.

My bunwarmers are pretty hot too. I think that the first setting must be the highest and they get less hot from there.

I think it's heated seats in general. I have them in my Acura, (but not in the MINI), and if I leave them on more than a few minutes, it's a veritable Weenie roast. Which I can live without.

it was 7 degrees but felt like -4 here in the DC area and we got like 4 inches of snow. so it's not bad but not great either.

Yup the sun was out all day but with the wind the roads in my area are still covered with packed snow. Rock salt will not even do anything because it to cold and what does melt refreezes.

Might need to dip into the MINI modding fund to pay the next natural gas bill...

...on the other hand, who needs all that food?
