We are getting a little snow and 1/2 inch of ice tonight on top the 8 inches we got yesterday.

We are also getting a big storm this Saturday / Sunday.

 

I soo wish I had a snow blower......maybe next year ...:snowblower:

 

1 out of 3 ain't bad.

It hit 20 degrees here yesterday, and it felt warm. That's sad....

To make up for it, we got a snow/ice storm early this morning, just in time for my once every two weeks drive to the middle of nowhere...

 

-7 For my drive to work... Single digits all day.

 

It's just fine when the weather guesser is wrong & we get less snow, yep that's OK with me.

Made it to the middle of nowhere. Slid through an intersection making a left hand turn, but no harm, no foul. There was a cop car parked just past the intersection, thought I was toast, but he wasn't in the car. A rare break that I'll take.

 

Just got in from shoveling Babs frozen Skooby out. Used a shovel & my snow blower. Heavy snow with a layer of ice on top. Yuck.... :shovel::snowblower:brr

Well.... Tell the husband it's time to check into a room at the Hilton.... Let someone else do the cookin until the power comes back....

 

House was still pretty warm when I left for work.
Tonight we can build a fire

Let's go for the trifecta and add "Lowrider" to the trifecta, and totally destroy what is already turning out to be a bad day....

Single digits here all week, but today at least the sun is shining.

I dug the Clubby out and cleared the drive so my bride could make it to work...they don't close her office when it snows like most of the rest of the city (doctor/hospital answering service) and that's why she drives an Audi Quattro - I know it will get her there and home safely. We had about 3" of ice on Sat which I cleared off before the snow hit last night...good thing too as it's not fun slipping and sliding on that ice while trying to move snow.

I also cleared some paths and cul de sacs in the back yard for the Mini-Poopers, but as expected, they simply bounded off into the fresh snow instead - it's hell getting that matted snow out of their fur!

I don't know what the official total was but I easily have 14" in my yard....more in the drifts and a little less where the wind could blow thru.

However, we're supposed to get hit with snow again this Sat, and again next Wed. I was ready for winter to be over sometime around last November!

 

That snow with the ice on top is heavy stuff. Especially after the plow leaves a dam at the end. The kids across the street kept getting his snow blower stuck.

 

Eventually it will all melt away....so why bother....:snowblower:
