It was so cold when I left work at 4:30 pm yesterday, that when I started the Mini, it went into limp mode, lit up the dash and wanted to die. Wouldn't rev above 2K and zero power. After running very poorly for about a minute, I turned it off and then restarted and everything seemed ok. Had a bit of a rough start this morning, but no problems getting going.

 

Might need to check that battery.

 

Put the battery tender on last night. Since I have driven my car in a number of days I don't want the cold to zap the battery. -7 this morning

 

41 at the moment. 66 by 2pm. Bearable... But then it's usually warmer here on the valley floor.

 

5F this am, 14F now (probably won't get much higher today) with some wind.
2003 R50 starts right up. Clutch pedal is a little stiff the first couple miles
at this temperature, but not so much that it's a problem.

 

So damn cold the car won't start. Sits there and cranks, catches a little now and then then dies.

Arghh...

 

Just warmed up to whole 0 degrees.

 

It is still in the fifties here, just wet.

47 Here today... Wallowing in a filth covered Porkchop for my lunch break.

 

Up to 16 now......Thats the high for today.

 

We are up to 10 here in lovely Columbus...

Took Uber to go the Barber. Water main break in the next block from them. Had to shut down.

Uber is not bad, not that expensive around town too.

 

Hung on 50 most of the day, washed the MINI Countryman and the Jeep, both were dirty from before Xmas.

Now is it is hanging on 27.7 and we are getting freezing drizzle mixed with light snow.

Once again, I love Colorado.

 

20's today, but will be back to single digits the next 2 mornings.

 

zero now and on the way to -9F overnight....we've had many days of this as Spa2k noted. Gets a little old, but the sunshine is nice. Uff-da

Regarding the aforementioned shrinkage factor, I guess whatever doesn't chill us makes us longer?

 

It's just not very damn cold here at all... Sorry guys and gals.

 

9F this am.

 

A mild -3 this morning and by late afternoon we'll be 12.
