I'm missing the Columbus cold snap while out here in Lost Wages (Vegas). I'm not looking forward to returning to it on Friday :-(

It may be cold, but at least it isn't like this was, back in 1938!

Was 6 yesterday when I left work....
Car started right up...drove great...AMAZING how much power you get with such cold intake temps...
    Snow...cold...polar vortex's....
Seems winter is still winter...so much for global warming....maybe global cooling..then warming..then cooling...
Oh yeah...it been doing that since BEFORE MAN...that's why there have been ice ages...natural cycles...influenced by things like volcano's, meteorite collisions, and dust storms/forest fires putting dust and other chemicals into the atmosphere...

Are all MINI seat heaters as overactive as mine? Even when it's waaaay below zero, I can only stand about 30 seconds on position 1 before I smell meat burning and have to shut it off. :eek6:

The heater, OTOH, runs at full heat almost all of the time.

My bunwarmers are pretty hot too. I think that the first setting must be the highest and they get less hot from there.

I think it's heated seats in general. I have them in my Acura, (but not in the MINI), and if I leave them on more than a few minutes, it's a veritable Weenie roast. Which I can live without.

it was 7 degrees but felt like -4 here in the DC area and we got like 4 inches of snow. so it's not bad but not great either.

Snow, I can handle...however, the below zero temps with even worse wind chills REALLY suck! :mad5:

Yup the sun was out all day but with the wind the roads in my area are still covered with packed snow. Rock salt will not even do anything because it to cold and what does melt refreezes.

We're headed for -45 degree wind chills in parts of the state. The winds are so strong here that they stripped most of the Chili Red paint off an R56 parked at the mall, down to the bare metal. Now it looks like the F56 JCW "concept" car!
