Do you really think I could have a hole in my exhaust? I have never been to this weld shop so it is possible he is garbage welder. I definitely fixed the exhaust rattle when I pulled out the resonator. I dont have a cat on my mini either It is all hollow except the pre cat thing.
Do you think that I should do a muffler or replace the stock resonator with another oe resonator?

all that popping suggests air getting in the system. If you listen to the Yaris,Sentra in the video they have no rear muffler. They put a small muffler in the center of the system which makes them sound like a motor bike. Most good sounding rally systems run a straight through muffler at the rear. Once I get my Mini running I'm going to use a rear twin box set up way up in the chassis to avoid damage.

Tummi_Gummi New Memberyeah after going back and reading that i saw it too lol. I should have wrote the other details. All of my guy friends give me crap for driving a baby blue mini cooper. Dont get it wrong they like the car too but still they tease me about it and I kinda been doing it to myself lately to fit in more (gettin used to it since I am keeping the mini for a while). Actually had the windows down yestrerday and a car full of chicks were laughin too so probably thought it was funny seeing a dude driving a baby blue mini again...

Mine was a MG with the 1500cc engine. I took the engine apart, then took all the seals to a roller bearing supplier. He did some measurements and found heavy duty versions in his catalog(British engineering). Also if there is a ridge in the crank i fitted the seal in a little more to miss the ridge. I think most old engines use standard seals which there are heavy duty versions. I also fitted a remote oil filter and electric fuel pump. Even did that with an 83 V8 range Rover.
Sorry tummi for going off the original thread.
