Glad your going to remod your car. Hope you like it. I'm sure it will be good. I'm pretty much done spending money on mine, maybe some seats, BBK. All my fun money is now going into my road bike, approaching $10k there  Have a good one

as for me between buying the mini (21k) and mods i think im about at 35k in total...ive saved alot over its life as i try to turn my own wrenches as much as possible...though im about to raise that amount soon as im going to do some internal engine upgrades beyond the street cam i already have

Me too, but I got myself a new car payment out of necessity over the weekend, so the MINI will take the back burner, until all the new Jeep smell settles.

Ok, so I pulled my receipts and sifted through the repair/maintenance ones to just add up the "mod" ones...

I'm at $4,300 in one year

Thats the way to do it Kitty. The good stuff costs more, but you wont be redoing it again later.

I often wonder if one day there won't be any left.
I get accused a lot for cleaning my car more than driving it :cornut:

My mom always tells me I won't have any paint left and wonders what takes me so long. 2 hours average and sometimes 3. Then she asks me to wash hers... HA! I tell her if she didn't have a Honda I would:devil: Then I just give it a quick once over, I hate that car. :cornut:

It doesn't matter what it is.... I once owned an '87 Mercury Topaz with no clear coat left on it and that thing got washed/cleaned every week.

    I just can't stand driving/being in a dirty car.

OMG! A Topaz?! hahaha, my friends g/f in high school had one. I feared for my life in that thing!
Oh I know, I don't like dirty cars and neither does my mom... I wash it, but my goodness... she traded in her MINI for it and that's why I hate it so much. It's like when you're married to someone and they have a child you know isn't yours and you just want to beat the snot out of it! LOL:devil: Not that that has happened to me.

    The MINI isn't for everyone.

I tell people all the time, if you want something 100% reliable and cheap/easy to maintain buy a Honda.
If you want something fun to drive buy a MINI.

off the top of my head ive spent well over a grand in cleaning products on my mini...pretty much all spent with Octaneguy...between a PC buffer and stockpiles of bottles of Prima products and now bottles of Sonax i have quite a collection....now if i think about how much ive spent on both my R53 and my classic mini....my wallet is crying lol

No need to wash my Mini again this year... Hell it still doesn't even have any paint on it right now. :p

I do need to start keeping my daily clean again. The Cherokee I traded in hadn't been washed since February... Shows how much I loved that pile.

Well it's starting to get to just over $1K and that is just the DDMworks CAI,Fire Brand Ign. wires,Samco intake hose,Pro 1Cat Back exhaust,tires,15%supercharger pulley kit,Bushings for the hydraulic damper on the belt tensioner,WMW plate type tensioner stop, belt tensioner tool,WMW Supercharger pulley puller. Come to think of it I'm probably closing in on $2K after having the crank damper Pulley and Supercharger pulley installed. I think I'm not going to try and keep up with how much I'll end up spending as there is so much more that I want to do! After I get this stuff done I'll have to wait for anymore mods as I need to put front Brake pads and rotors on the truck and that will be $600.00 for parts easy and about that much for the labor.:D

It's best not to think too much about how much you really spent
